Great Looking Apps (OS X & iOS) but no sufficient instructions & functions
I have purchased both iOS & OS X latest versions (for OS X 10.10.5 & iOS 9.0.2) in hope to finally find a solution to help consolidate, reconcile, keep track and generate categorized reports.
My review is after 1 month of usage.
Both apps are probably the most aesthetic and simplistic in the market - design, readability and ergonomics were properly implemented.
So far, neither version showed any bugs or crashes.
Both apps are very friendly and flexible (numerous visual themes, options to personalize account names, icons, credit limits. reports for income/expense, assets/liabilities ,cash flow, projected balance and transactions that displayed as pie, graph and statement - printed version as statement ONLY. reports can be filtered by many parameters: last 7, 30,90 days. this/last month & this/last year. exported reports as: PDF, CSV, QIF). Bank statements are limited to .OFX files ONLY - I imported a few Bank of America statements - they were not imported smoothly, I needed to edit the files every time.
Not for beginners for reconciliation of multiple credit cards, checking etc. - The Help pages do cover most features, but lack essential information, for example - how to input & reconcile credit card statements (several purchases of different categories and vendors, show up as one transaction in the checking account statement).
Apps should have a step by step videos to show exactly how this is done, I spent hours trying to figure it out, looking online for solutions and still stuck.
Overall, It’s a great app, but wish I could utilize it to reconcile my accounts.
